Presentation

This site is created by Alexis Derycke and allows me to reference / share some of my projects / tools developed in the course of my work (as a geoscience researcher), or in my spare time. In some cases, this site completes a GitHub directory initially hosting the source codes.

To introduce myself in a few words, I’m a geoscience researcher (with a PhD from Université Paris Saclay) who is mainly interested in understanding the evolution of landforms away from convergence zones (i.e. mountain ranges). My main tools revolve around dating, tectonics and geochemistry. For more information, you can consult my CV online.

As part of my research, I was able to create course materials that I make available on site. The geochemistry aspect of my research has led me to develop data processing and representation codes. My knowledge includes the following languages: VBA, python and Labview, and was mainly acquired through self-training and from programmers. If the code I have developed can be useful to the community, it is distributed on GitHub (source code) and on this site (compiled software), usually with explanations/tutorials. If the code is published, you’ll find a link to the associated article.
